InchCosmos built the "KeepBar+" app as a Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by InchCosmos at no cost for the basic version and is intended for use as is. Premium features are available through in-app subscription.

This page is used to inform application users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information if anyone decided to use this Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The personal information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address - Used for account authentication and communication. Stored securely in Firebase Authentication.
• Username - Your display name in the app and leaderboard. You can change this at any time.
• Profile picture - Optional. Stored in Firebase Storage.
• Signature - Optional personal description.

Practice Data

We collect data related to your cultivation practice:

• Practice time statistics - Total practice time, physical cultivation time, mental cultivation time.
• Cultivation realm and progress - Your current realm level and breakthrough records.
• Practice cards - Your custom practice plans and completion records.

Purchase Information

If you subscribe to PRO features, we collect:

• Subscription status - Whether you are a PRO member and subscription expiry date.
• Transaction records - Processed securely by Stripe. We do NOT store your payment card details.

Device Information

• Device identifiers - Firebase installation ID, advertising identifier (for ads).
• App usage data - How you interact with the app, collected via Firebase Analytics for improving user experience.

Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Links to the privacy policies of third-party service providers used by the app:

• Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics)
• Google AdMob
• Stripe

Advertising

The free version of this Service displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and cookies to show personalized ads based on your interests.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by:

• Adjusting your device's advertising settings
• Upgrading to PRO version to remove all ads

Payments

We use Stripe for payment processing. When you make a purchase:

• Your payment information is provided directly to Stripe
• We do NOT store or have access to your full payment card details
• Stripe adheres to PCI-DSS standards for secure payment handling

Data Sync and Leaderboard

To provide the leaderboard feature, your practice statistics (username, total practice time, realm level) are synced to our cloud database. This data is:

• Visible to other users on the leaderboard
• Updated daily at midnight (Beijing Time)
• Deleted when you delete your account

Log Data

When you use our Service, in case of an error in the app, we collect data called Log Data through Firebase Analytics. This Log Data may include:

• Device type and operating system version
• App configuration and settings
• Time and date of your use of the Service
• Other diagnostic statistics

Cookies

This Service does not use cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries (such as AdMob) that use cookies to collect information and improve their services.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it:

• All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• User passwords are securely managed by Firebase Authentication
• Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant Stripe
• Cloud data is stored in secure Firebase infrastructure

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary:

• Account data - Retained until you delete your account
• Practice data - Retained until you delete your account
• Analytics data - Retained according to Firebase Analytics policies (typically 14 months)

You can request deletion of your data at any time by deleting your account within the app.

Children's Privacy

This Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16. If we discover that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access - View your personal data in the app
• Correction - Update your profile information at any time
• Deletion - Delete your account and all associated data
• Data Portability - Your data is stored locally and can be accessed

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

• Right to Know - You can request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete - You can request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt-Out - You have the right to opt out of the "sale" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.

If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
